Consultant Chemist
Rene van Bijnderen is a Consultant Chemist based in our Rotterdam office.
Rene studied at the HLO Analytical Chemistry at Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After his graduation, Rene joined a major inspection company as a laboratory technician, analysing various petroleum products and chemicals. His next roles were, amongst others, customer service coordinator for the Rotterdam laboratory. In that role he was responsible for the coordination of the incoming customers’ requests. Rene was also manager of special projects, in which role he was responsible for setting up new laboratories and purchasing new equipment so that new analysis techniques could be implemented in the laboratory.
Since joining MTD in 2019 Rene has been involved in investigating quality disputes and contamination claims relating to a variety of different bulk liquid petroleum and petrochemical cargoes.
